ANALYSIS OF SILANE HYDROLYSIS REACTION FOR NEW CORROSION RESISTANT COATING ON METALLIC SURFACE

Hydrolysis process of silane coupling agents (SCA) which were directly applied for iron surface corrosion resistant treatment was studied. The factors that affected the formation of silanol in silane hydrolysis reaction were discussed. Conductivity detection method was proposed for monitoring and certification of silanol, and FTIR spectroscopy method was applied to prove that. The results provided guidance for sutdy of SCA corrosion resistant coating on metallic surface and optimization of relative technique factors.
