Effect of Rolling Process and Mixed Rare Earth on Electrochemical Performance of Al Alloy Anodes

Modern examination techniques such as galvanodynamic(E-t curves) method,Tafel curves,SEM and energy spectrum have been applied to analyze the effect of different rolling processes and mixed rare earth on electrochemical properties of Al alloy anodes in alkaline solution(80℃,Na_2SnO_3+ 5 mol/L NaOH).The results showed that in the amount of 40%pass deformation,as the rolling temperature got higher,the open-circuit potential failed,and the anti-corrosion properties and electrochemical activity increased at first and then decreased.At the rolling temperatures of 370℃,with increasing the pass deformation,the open-circuit potential increased and electrochemical activity gradually decreased,at the same time the anti-corrosion properties decreased at first and then increased;At 370℃,by pass deformation for 40%,with increasing the mixed rare earth content,the electrochemical activity gradually decreased and the anti-corrosion properties increased.
