Synthesis of ZnO Nano-crystal Powder by Molten Salt Method

ZnO nano-crystal powders with hexagonal crystal configuration were successfully synthesized from a molten salt method,and the synthesis condtions were detailedly studied.The novel characters of synthesized ZnO powders were analyzed by means of XRD,TEM,BET and TG,etc.The average crystal sizes of obtained ZnO powders could be efficiently controlled by changing the calcination conditions,such as calcination temperature,calcination time,content of molten salt KNO3.Commonly these obtained ZnO powders own the eminent characters of weak agglomeration,narrow distribution and fine crystalline configuration.When the content of molten salt KNO3 was low enough,amount of nano-rod ZnO could be synthesized efficiently.
