MULTI-PARAMETERS MONITORING FOR FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS WITH A SINGLE FIBER BRAGG GRATINGS

Multi-parameters monitoring at different stages of the whole cure process was realized with a single (fiber) Bragg gratings. Before pressing, it was used to monitor temperature variation; during pressing, it was used to monitor pressure variation of resin, and during cooling, it was used to monitor residual stress. The experimental (results) show that it is practical to monitor key parameters during different stages of composite cure process with only a single fiber Bragg gratings.
