EXTRACTION-NONDISPERSIVE ATOMIC FLUORESCENCE SPECTROMETRIC DETERMINATION OF TELLURIUM BY HYDRIDE GENERATION IN ORGANIC PHASE

A method for hydride generation in organic phase is proposed. The hydride generation is carried out in tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) extraction solution by sodium tetrahydroborate in N, N-dimethylformamide(DMF) and anhydrous acetic acid. And then tellurium is determined by nondispersive atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The detection limit is 1.7×10~11g. The method has been applied to the determination of tellurium in water samples with good precision (R.S.D. 4.9%) and recovery (98.9—101.2%).
