SOLVENT EXTRACTION-NONDISPERSIVE ATOMIC FLUORESCENCE SPECTROMETRIC DETERMINATION OF TRACE SELENIUM IN DRINKING WATER WITH HYDRIDE GENERATION

A method for hydride generation in an organic solution has been studied, After sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate(DDTC)complexing and tri-n-butylphosphate(TBP)extraction,the hydride generation can be carried out by reduction with sodium tetrahydroborate in N,Ndiethylformanide((?)MF)and anhydrous acetic acid.Then the hydride generated is determined by nondispersive atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The detection limit is 1.81×10~(-11)g.The method has been applied to the determination of trace selenium in drinking water with good precision(RSD 2.7％)and recovery(93-106%).
