Determination of Germanium by Hydride Generation Atomic Absorption Spectrometry With Electrically Heated Slotted Quartz Tube

A sensitive method for the determination of germanium was studied by hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry. The T-type electrically heated closed-ended slotted quartz tube was used in this method. The detection limit and relative standard deviation of 11 determinations of 0.41μg Ge/10ml in the 0.1mol/L H_3PO_4 solution were 2.4ng (S/N=2) and 2.9%,respectively.
