Application of Matrix Modifier to the Determination of Phosphorus by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

The effect was presented for the determination of phosphorus with matrix modifier by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. It was found from results that Pd/Ca as a matrix modifier was more reasonable to determine phosphorus in animal and plant samples. The linear relationship between the absorbance and the concentration of phosphorus in the range of 0~20 μg/ml was obtained. The results were in good agreement with the reference and standard values.
