Simultaneous Determination of Titanium and Molybdenum in Steel by Kalman Filten Spectrophotometry Using 2,6,7-Trihydroxy-9-phenylfluorone and Cetylpyridinium Bromide

A spectrophotometric method based on Kalman filter is described for simultaneous determination of titanium and molybdenum with Ti (Mo)-2. 6. 7-trihydroxy-9-phenylfluorone and cetylpyridinium bromide system. In this study,Kalman filtering is used as a "chemometrics filter".which ,in combination with chemical masking reagents,suppresses the interference from other ions, the method is accurate and selective. The method can be directly applied to the spectrophotometric determination of Ti and Mo in steel with satisfactory results.
