Kinetic-double Standard Addition Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Molybdenum and Tungsten

A kinetic-double standard addition method for the simultaneous determination of a binary mixture was proposed and the kinetics of H2O2-iodide reaction catalyzed by molybde-num( Ⅵ ) and tungsten (Ⅵ) was studied with I--starch complex as an indicator by stopped FIA technique. The conditions for the simultaneous determination of Mo ( Ⅵ ) and W ( Ⅵ ) were discussed. The content of molybdenum and tungsten in steel and a simulated sample was determined with satisfactory results, the recovery for Mo and W is 97%-102. 6% and 98. 2%-103%, and the relative standard deviation is 2. 8%-3. 2% and 2. 1%-3. 5%, respectively.
