Determination of Neurotransmitter Dopamine in the Presence of Ascorbic Acid Using Lipoic Acid Coated Electrochemically Pretreated Carbon Fibre Microelectrode

An electrochemically pretreated carbon fibre microeleetrode modified with lipoic acid has been studied. It shows high sensitivity and good selectivity for the determination of neurotransmitterdopamine. It can effectively eliminate the interference of ascorbic acid. The linear range is 1.0×10-8~1.0×10-5 mol/L and the detection limit is 5×10-9 mol/L.This novel chemically modified carbon fibre microelectrode could be used in the determination of neurotransmitters in vivo.
