Recent Progresses in Research on Molecular Imprinting Sensors

Molecular imprinting is an emerging technique for the preparation of polymers possessing highly selective recognition properties. One of the most appealing application developed in the area of molecular imprinting is the use of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as recognition elements in chemical (biomimetic) sensors for analytical chemistry. The principle of molecular imprinting and its application in sensor technology are reviewed. The progresses and achievements in studying MIP - based sensors are summarized. The development of MIP-based sensors in the detection of organophosphorus compounds is prospected. 44 references are cited.
