A Fluorescence Quenching Method for Determination of ArsenicⅢ

A simple and selective fluorimetric method is proposed for the determination of As?. The method is based on the fluorescence quenching of pyronineY by the reaction product (I 2) of potassium iodate and As? in hydrochloric acid solution.The detection limit for As? is 14.1 μg/L, the linear range of the determination is 24.0~248 μg/L. The method has been used to determine As? in tap water,urine,serum and synthetic sample with satisfactory results
