Theory of Hybrid Linear Analysis and Its Application in the Analysis of Multicomponent System

The theory of a newly developed multivariate calibration method hybrid linear analysis(HLA) was described. A simulated system and a pharmaceutical preparation were analyzed using HLA. Some points of HLA, including selection of optimum number of factors, pure spectra of analyzed components, wavelength selection and its application to the simultaneous determination of cephalexin and trimethoprim in pharmaceutical preparation were discussed in detail. It was shown that HLA, which produces better results than PLS, is a simple and accurate method, for the analysis of multicomponent system.
