Progress in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Study on the Interaction between Drug Ligand and Macromolecular Receptor

The interaction between drug and target macromolecule in vivo is one of the most important factors that determine the therapeutic activity and metabolic stability of the drug. How to rapidly and efficiently discover drug that can interact with target molecular and inhibit its in vitro activity has become an issue of major concern in pharmaceutical industries. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is now a very important approach to study the interaction between small ligand and biomolecule. Both ligand and receptor experience changes in the interaction process. Drug screening by NMR can be achieved by monitoring signals from ligand . The recent developments in this field are reviewed.
