Voltammetric Studies of La(OH)_3 Nanoparticles Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode and Its Application for the Simultaneous Determination of o-Benzenediol and p-Benzenediol

The La(OH)3 nanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode was fabricated and its electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of of o-benzenediol and p-benzenediol was investigated. The effect of the type and acidity of electrolytes and the optimum conditions for the simultaneous determination of o-benzenediol and p-benzenediol were studied. In 0.1 mol/L PBS(pH 7.0)the concerntration of o-benzenediol and p-benzenediol are linearly with their peaks currents respectively in differential pulse voltammetry. Various metal ion, ascorbic acid and phenol have nearly no effect on the determination. The modified electrode can be used in the determination of o-benzenediol and p-benzenediol in imitative waste water.
