Simultaneous Determination of As,Bi,Se and Sn in Antimony Concentrates by Hydride Generation-Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry Through Sodium Peroxide Melting

A method was developed for the simultaneous determination of As,Bi,Se and Sn in the antimony concentrates by hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry(HG-AFS),the experiments showed that the interference of matrix and co-existing elements can be avoided by melting the sample with sodium peroxide,adjusting the acid concentration and adding tartaric acid,thiourea-ascorbic acid mixture(Tu-Vc) to the sample solution.The recoveries of the method were 90.6%-103.8% for As,Bi,Se and Sn.The detection limits were 0.35,0.20,0.65 and 0.35 μgL,respectively.The method has been applied to the determination of As,Bi,Se and Sn in antimony concentrates with satisfactory results.
