The Absorption,Photoluminescence and Raman Spectra of Er2O3

Raman spectra of Er2O3 fine powders are cluttered with photoluminescence lines when visible laser are used as excitation sources. In this paper, absorption and excitation spectra of Er2O3 in the visible region has been measured by same high resolution Raman spectrometer.The results exhibit the fine peaks of absorption and photoluminescence spectra of the \{\}\+4I\-\{11/2\}\{\}\+4I\-\{15/2\},\{\}\+2S\-\{3/2\} \{\}\+4I\-\{15/2\} and \{\}\+4F\-\{9/2\}\{\}\+4I\-\{15/2\} transitions of the Er3+ in Er2O3,have same frequencies and shapes in common. The real Raman peaks can be distinguished from excitation spectra by means of the corresponding relationship.\=
