Geological Hazards and Countermeasures In Coastal Cities

Yang Xin-an; Ding Min; Cheng Jun(Shanghai TieDao University, Shanghai, China)
With population grows and high-speed development of economy and modernization, the geological environment is being destroyed leading to the serious geological environment problems. In this paper current situation of geological hazards including ground subsidence, ground-water pollution, seawater intrusion, sea level rise and earthquake in coastal cities are discussed, counter-measures are also proposed.
