Multi-field coupling problem of landfill gas for resource utilization

The migration and release of landfill gas is a complex dynamic process in porous(or fracture) media.The pore ambient conditions such as thermal field,moisture field and stress field have important effect on landfill gas flow.The recent advance in the application research and problems of landfill gas resource utilization at home and aboard are summarized.Application of multi-field coupling theory to landfill gas resource utilization are analyzed.The research results show that the seepage of landfill gas induces the transfer of internal heat energy by the form of convection,which leads to redistribution of thermal field.The variation of thermal field result in the change of thermal-physical properties and structure characteristics.Moreover,the seepage properties of landfill gas are changed,namely,the change of stress field and seepage field.Hence further issues to be solved are put forward.
