Application of fly ash ceramsite in wastewater treatment

In order to dispose of the environmental pollution caused by fly ash and its comprehensive utilization, fly ash was adopted as dominating material mixed with bond and solide fuel by sintering to make fly ash ceramsite. It is found that application of fly ash ceramsite as filter medium in wastewater treatment and on treatment of wastrwater containing heavy metal, mimic, phosphorus, fluorin and oil achieves favorable results. Due to its great specific surface, high surface energy and inner active site of aluminum oxide and silicon oxide, fly ash ceramsite has excellent adsorption ability and it can be rebirthed easily and used repeately. So it is a kind of low-cost sorbent and its application in wastewater treatment has wide prospect.
