Improving efficiency of hybrid prototyping based on metal melting deposition and 5-axis milling

In order to improve the efficiency of hybrid prototyping based on metal melting deposition and 5-axis milling,a new method of hybrid prototyping is proposed,which deposits the layers as much as possible before conducting the milling process for deposited layers,and the algorithms to estimate the deposited layer’s number could be milled together according to the tool accessibility to layers are studied.Non-interference cutter location points are calculated firstly,then whether there are any non-interference cutter axis directions at the cutter location points are found out.By this method the tool accessibility to layers is determined.Thereby the transform number of workers spaces is significantly ruduced and the efficiency of forming is effectively improved.
