Mechanical properties and deformation law monitoring of excavation retaining and protection structure on soft ground

In order to verify the rationality and safety of the design,the internal force and deformation of excavation retaining and protection structure are studied.According to engineering geological conditions of Pan Jin underground commercial streets,this study obtained the variation law of steel support axial force,pile top horizontal displacement and surrounding building settlement with time by means of field monitoring.The monitoring results show that steel support axial force increases with the increase of excavation depth,and its value is varied with the excavation velocity and direction,the erection and demolition of steel support,interaction between steel support and soil;the pile top horizontal displacement increases with the increase of excavation time and tends to stable finally,the value is varied with the excavation and related to exposed time of without steel support after excavation;surrounding building settlement increases with the increase of time,and the increasing velocity changes slowly and then quickly.The paper compared data between monitoring values and the design value together with alarming value,and the comparing results show that the retaining and protection structure design is rational and safe.
