Numerical analysis of railway subgrade settlement caused by groundwater exploitation

To study the effect of the regional settlement of Deda railway DK228+700-DK257+529 range which is caused by excessive exploitation of underground brine, the characteristics of soil and the railway subgrade settlement has been done by using finite difference software FLAC~(3D) in the process of pumping based on precise leveling of shoulder settlement. It is shown that the range and the amount of the ground settlement caused by the pumping of brine well is influenced by the amount of well and the change of the water level, and is mainly affected by the change of water level; Under the influence of water pumping, the compression of the shallow layer in the-25.2~-2.5 m range is the main part of the soil settlement; Railway roadbed settlement has not yet reached stability, and the settlement will continue. This research can provide important reference for the prediction and treatment of the subgrade settlement caused by pumping.
