Study on microwave-assisted extraction of flavonoids in artemisia selengensis turcz

Using an obturated microwave-assisted extraction apparatus with a pressure controlling unit,a microwave-assisted extraction method was developed for flavonoids in stem and leaf of arteisia selengensis turcz.According to an orthogonal test method,the optimal conditions of extraction were obtained as follows: 70% alcohol as solvent,microwave power 800 W,radiation time 12 min at 80 ℃ and the solid/liquid ratio of 1∶20 for stem;and 70% alcohol as solvent,microwave power 600 W,radiation time 12 min at 70 ℃ and the solid/liquid ratio of 1∶20 for leaf.The extraction rates were 6.43% for stem and 7.01% for leaf,respectively.In addition,the comparison with extraction by alcohol reflux was also discussed.
