Simultaneous determination of palladium and gold in waste water by chemometric-spectrophotometry

A new highly selective reagent 5-(2-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-phenylazo)-rhodanine can react with Au(Ⅲ) and Pd(Ⅱ) to form a stable red complex with maximum absorption at 510 nm.Since the absorption spectra were seriously overlapped.In this paper,An artificial neural network-spectrophotometry method for simultaneous determination of Au(Ⅲ) and Pd(Ⅱ) in waste water was studied.The results are satisfactory.
