Determination of phthalic esters in water by single drop microextraction coupled with gas chromatography

Single drop microextraction coupled with gas chromatography was developed for the determination of phthalic esters in water.Extraction solvent,extraction time and stirrer speed were optimized.Optimal experimental conditions were as follows: 2 μL toluene microdrop exposed for 20 min in a 3 mL aqueous sample placed in 4 mL vial and stirred at 600 r/min.The Concentrated factor of dimethyl phthalate and dibutyl phthalate ranged between 228 and 318.The RSDs% of the proposed method varied between 9.4% and 6.4%.The limits of detection were 1.4 μg/L and 0.8 μg/L,respectively.The recoveries for surface water,wastewater and sea water were in range of 94.5%~99.3% for DMP and 87.0%~102% for DBP.
