Determination of arsenic,antimony and bismuth in Baotou iron ore by HG-AAS

A method for the determination of trace arsenic,antimony and bismuth in Baotou iron ore by hydride generation with electric heating quartz tube atomic absorption spectrometry is reported.The optimum experimental conditions were studied systematically and the mixed solution of potassium iodide,ascorbic acid and thiourea was added to eliminate the interference of co-exist elements.The potassium permanganate adsorbed with foam was used to eliminate gas interference of Sb on As.The method is simple,sensitive and rapid.The detection limit(ng/mL) was 0.15,0.28 and 0.15,respectively.It had been applied to determining arsenic,antimony and bismuth in Baotou iron ore with satisfactory results.
