Study on simultaneous detection of 9 tetracyclines residues in cosmetics by high performance liquid chromatography

A method for the determination of 9 tetracycline antibiotics(TCs) by reversedphase high performance liquid chromatography is described.TCs were successfully separated on a Kromasil C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm i.d.,5 μm).The calibration curves of 9 tetracycline antibiotics were linear(r≥0.9991) between 1 and 100 μg/mL.The limit of detection was between 0.05 μg/mL and 5.0 μg/mL.The average recoveries were between 85.5% and 105.7% with RSD(n=6) values between 0.1% and 3.2%.The results showed that the method was sensitive,accurate,convenient and quick,which can be used for simultaneous detection of the 9 tetracyclines residues in cosmetics.
