Comparative study on the extraction methods of metal elements in PM_(2.5)

The extraction rate of each extraction method cannot be obtained because the content of each component of PM2.5in the atmospheric environment is extremely unstable.Therefore it is difficult to evaluate the applicability,the advantages and disadvantages of the extraction methods for metal elements.In this paper,the national standard soil samples of known metal content were resuspended through PM2.5suspension box and collected by Teflon membrane and QFF.Six kinds of methods were used to extract Ca,Mg,Na,K in PM2.5on filter membrane and each extraction rate was calculated.The purpose was to test the applicability of the optimal extraction method obtained in laboratory by applying it to the atmospheric environment.The results showed that the metal elements in PM2.5on QFF were easier to be extracted than on Teflon membrane filter.Extraction by various acids outperformed that using water and HCl O4 method was proved the most efficent way for the extraction of metal elements in PM2.5on Teflon membrane.In addition to the reported methods for Ca extraction,HF method was considered to be the approach with the highest extraction rate for metal elements in PM2.5on QFF.In the practical application,the optimal extraction method of water-soluble metal ion in PM2.5obtained in the laboratory was also applied to the atmospheric environment.
