Determination of Selenium in Powdered Sanlplesby ZAAS Using Suspension Sampling Technique──Standardless Analyses of Selenium in Wheat Flour,Pork Liver and Wild Cabbage

A method has been developed for the standard-less Analyses of selenium in wheat flour,pork liver and wild cabbage by ZAAS using suspension sampling technique combining with a matrix modifier containing both Cu and Mg(NO_3)_2. The powdered biological samples were suspended in a medium containing glyc-erinenitric acid-water.The characteristic mass value was found to be 2 7pg/0.0044.The recommended method has been applied to the determination of sele-nium in associated SRM(China),and satisfactory a-greements were achieved between the data obtainedby this method and the certified values.
