Determination of trace arsenic in food-grade sulfur by hydrogen generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry

A method was developed for the determination of trace arsenic in food-grade sulfur by hydrogen gener- ation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry.The sample was dissolved by nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide in closed-vessel and the optimal test conditions were established.The influence of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide on measurement results were studied.The trace arsenic in food-grade sulfur were determined un- der the selected conditions.The detection limit was 0.087ng/mL,recoveris were between 99.0%~103.0% and RSDs were 0.56%~1.86%.The method is sensitive,simple and accurate and does not pol- lute environment.
