Determination of Cr in tobacco by ICP-MS with dynamic reaction cell mode

A method for the determination of Cr in tobacco by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)was developed.HNO3 and H2O2 were used for microwave digestion.O2 was used as reaction gas in the dynamic reaction cell mode.The conditions of microwave digestion and ICP-MS parameters were tested.This method had good liner relationship(R2=0.9999)and lower limit of detection(0.042μg/L).The recovery was in the range of 96.4%to 105.2%and the relative standard deviation was less than 5%.
