Cyclohexane Hydroconversion on Pt-Ir Double Metals Catalysts

Double metals catalysts have been prepared and characterized by TG-DTA. Ring-opening mechanism of these double metals catalysts have been investigated by performing hydrogenation of cyclohexane with a high pressure microreactor under the conditions of 230 ℃~320 ℃, 4.0 MPa, WHSV 1.0 h~(-1), hydrogen flowed velocity 100 mL/min. The experimental results show that temperature and Ir/Pt atom ratio are two important factors effected ring opening and cracking activity of catalysts. Under the condition of 290 ℃ ring opening activity of the catalyst Ⅰis best. Selectivity of ring opening product is 86.5% and conversion of cyclohexane is 82.3%.Ring-opening of cyclohexane complied with metal hydrogenolysis mechanism on these double metals catalysts.
