Removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption on modified bentonite

Two kinds of modified bentonite were prepared with different surfactant. Experiments were made on removal Cr(VI) from aqueous solution with the original bentonite and modified bentonite .The optimum Cr(VI)-absorbing conditions and adsorption isotherms of these three samples were investigated in detail. The result show that 1827-bentonite have high removal rate without the effect of pH and time. The adsorption isotherms of two modified bentonite are of Freundlich-type.
