Analysis of Hefei Seismic Station's Short Range Leveling Anomalies and Earthquake Activities of Its Surrounding Area

In this paper,the characteristics of fault deformation evolution was analyzed based on the cross-fault leveling data of Hefei Seismic Station during earthquake of its surrounding area,and the cross-fault leveling data influenced by assisting observation data also have been studied.The conclusions are as follows:1) though the rainfall can lead to the fault deformation,the fault deformation anomalies still have precursory significance to some degree when the regional stress have intensity effect on the fault.2) Moderately strong earthquakes in East China and small earthquakes in Anhui area have certain relations with the cross-fault deformation of Hefei Seismic Station.If the fault trend to a direction continues for several months,small earthquakes(or earthquake) of its surrounding area will be enhanced.The data can reflect the change of regional stress field because of differences between data and the epicentrum orientation.3) Eastward tilt reflects the characteristic of fault activity from tension change into compressive since 2006.It can be considered as trusted trend anomaly.
