Genetic Analysis of Related Phenotypes of Functional Leaf in Rice Heading Stage

A double haploid(DH) population derived from a cross between an indica rice(Oryza sativa L.) TN1 and a japonica rice CJ06 was used in this research to investigate the genetic basis for leave length、leave width and leave angle of functional leave in the heading stage.The results indicated that these characters of neighboring leave showed significant positive correlation.That all these traits distributed normally among the DH population with some transgressive individuals suggested their quantitative characterization controlled by multiple genes.52 QTLs were detected for these traits,which were mapped on 10 chromosomes expect the 5th and 11th chromosomes,and the contribution rates were varied from 6.27% to 23.30%.The pyramid of the positive allels can apparently affect the related characters.The application prospect in rice breeding was also discussed.
