THEORETICAL CALCULATION OF LONGITUDINAL STIFFNESS OF THE ROLLING MILL STAND

Yu Feipeng(The Non-ferrous Metal Working Design and Research Institute, Ministry of Metallurgical Industry)  
Calculation formula of elastic deformation for the working stand of rolling mill was theoretically studied, some formulas were simplified and a practical systematic method of theoretically calculating the longitudinal stiffness of the rolling mill was presented. The examples of calculated results which approach the measured values are given. They may be used for reference in rolling mill design.
