THE PRACTICAL FORMULAS OF ROLLING PRESSURE CALCULATIONS IN FLAT ROLLING

The practical formulas of rolling pressure calculations have been derived on the following bases: 1) flat compression instead of flat rolling is adopted; 2) contact area is fractionized according to different friction rules; 3) distortion energy yield condition in plane strain (nonprincipal axes) is assumed; 4) it is approximately estimated that the nonhomogeneous distribution of (?)ongitudinal normal stress σ_x along the thickness of the plate has influence on the rolling pressure. The formulas may be applied to the calculations of rolling pressure during cold rolling as well as hot rolling of plates and sheets.
