AN INVESTIGATION ON MANDREL'S ENERGY TRANSMISSION IN MANDREL MILL

To understand the abnormal phenomena observed in an industrial mandrel mill that rollingpower motor power are in opposite trend along the line of rolling stands,By using the conceptof asynchronous rolling,different functions of the mandrel in the forward stands and the back-ward stands arc analyzed in this paper.A new viewpoint of mandrel's energy transmission isput forward.The rule of mandrel's energy transmission is preliminarily clarified.Applicationof the rule in mill operation is discussed.
