MECHANISM OF SCALE FORMATION ON STRIP SURFACE DURING CONTINUOUS HOT STRIP ROLLING AND ITS PREVENTING METHODS

In this paper,the mechanism of formation of rolled-in scale and scale pores, which are the major surface defects of continuous hot rolled strip,is analyzed.Based on the production experience on 2050 mm hot strip rolling mill at Baosteel,the methods of preventing them have been analyzed in theory and proved in practice,and they are useful for enhancing the surface quality of hot rolled strip.
