Effect of Mo in High Strength Pipeline Steel

The effect of Mo on microstructure and properties of low C Mn Nb X80 high strength pipeline steel was studied It was concluded that the proportion of acicular ferrite is increased with the Mo content, the yield and tensile strengths are also increased At the same time, bainite and M A phase occur in the steel On the other hand, the yield ratio is decreased and toughness is deteriorated as the quantity of M A is increased
