Evaluation on Climatic and Soil Ecological Condition of Tobacco Areas in Qiannan Prefecture

The meteorological and soil ecological condition of Changshun,Dushan,Pingtang,Fuquan,Guiding and Weng'an counties in Qiannan prefecture were comprehensively analyzed according to their meteorological(1961 to 2000) and soil nutrient data(2004 to 2007).The results show that Dushan,Pingtang,Fuquan and Weng'an counties are of suitable temperature,basic satisfied accumulative temperature and plenty of rainfall for tobacco growth,and the sunshine time of Changshun and Guiding counties is slightly less than other tobacco areas.The soil nutrients of planting tobacco areas in Qiannan prefecture vary from place to place and there are short of N,K,B and Mo and rich in Ca,S,Fe,Mn,Cu and Zn in tobacco soils in general.54% of Tobacco soils in six major tobacco counties and more than 70% of tobacco soils in Changshun and Guiding counties is lack of phosphorus element,but the tobacco soils in Weng'an,Pingtang,Fuquan and Dushan counties is rich in phosphorus element.More than 50% of tobacco soils in Changshun,Dushan and Guiding counties is short of magnesium element,but more than 50% of tobacco soils in Weng'an,Fuquan,Pingtang counties is rich in magnesium element.
