Photosynthetic Characteristics of Citrus ichangensis

The photosynthetic characteristics of Citrus ichangensis Swingle are studied for the differences of photosynthetic physiological characteristics, water use efficiency of P.trifoliate (L.) Raf., C. grandis (L.) Osbeck and C. chuana Hort. ex. Tseng. The results showed as following: 1) The light compensation point and light saturation point of C. ichangensis Swingle were about 23.99 μmol CO2/(m2·s) and 400 μmol CO2/(m2·s) respectively. 2) Daily variation of photosynthetic rate was a curve with double peak in clear days. The first peak reached the maximum at 10:00 with value of 3.93 μmol CO2/(m2·s), then declined gradually, another peak occurred at 16:00 with value of 1.55 μmol CO2/(m2·s), and the "noon-break" phenomenon was very obvious. 3) With analysis of water use efficiency on P.trifoliate (L.) Raf., C. grandis (L.) Osbeck and C. chuana Hort. ex. Tseng, it was found that the moist environment was the best condition for C. ichangensis Swingle growth, in which water saving capacity are weaker to resist drought stress.
