Physiological Indexes Related to Senescence of Wild Taxus chinensis in Swampy Environment of Doupeng Mountain in Guizhou

The relative physiological indexes of wild Taxus chinensis trees in swampy environment and cultivated Taxus chinensis trees with one year and two years in off-site conservation were compared to provide the scientific basis for effective protection and rational development of Taxus chinensis resources.The results showed that the leaf chlorophyll content,SOD activity,POD activity,CTA activity and MDA content of wild Taxus chinensis trees in swampy environment was lower,higher,higher,lower and higher than those of cultivated Taxus chinensis trees with one year and two years in off-site conservation respectively.The higher MDA content results in decline of root vigor,leaf weight unit leaf area and photosynthetic products,which accelerates senescence of wild Taxus chinensis trees in swampy environment.
