Effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Inoculum on Growth of Cinnamomum camphora Seedlings

Cinnamomum camphora seedlings were inoculated with arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculum to understand the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the field environment on growth of plants.The seedling height,ground diameter,biomass of root,stem and leaf and photosynthetic characteristics,disease index of Cinnamomum camphora seedlings were measured 5 months after the inoculation to study the influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on Cinnamomum camphora seedlings.The results showed that the height and ground diameter of seedlings increased significantly.The biomass of root,stem and leaf of inoculated seedlings was 6.02,3.48 and 3.40 times as much as the control group.Contents of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll increased by 47.02%,43.61% and 46.27% respectively.The net photosynthesis rate of seedlings increased too.The ratio of disease was one-sixth as much as the control group,the disease index was one-thirteenth as much as the control group.
