Two harvesting leaf patterns with three different leaf maturity degrees were tested to study effects of different harvesting pattern and different leaf maturity degree on quality and economic benefit of the upper leaves for improving grade quality and economic benefit of the upper leaves. The results show that the quality of the upper leaves is improved with the increase of maturity degree under two harvesting patterns, the quality and economic benefit of the upper leaves by one-off harvesting pattern is better than that by separation harvesting, and the average price and economic benefit of the upper 4~6 leaves with a stem by one-off harvesting pattern are 0.10~2.90 Yuan/kg and 0.21~2.01Yuan/kg higher than other treatments when 70%~80% area of the last third leaf turns yellow,3/4~4/5 of the main vein and 3/4 of the branch vein turn white.
