Effects of Different Solvents and Extraction Methods on Antioxidant Activity of Hedyotis diffusa Extracts

In order to study the in vitro antioxidant activity of H.diffusaextracts,different solvents including methanol,acetone and 80% alcohol and different methods such as ultrasonic wave extraction, stirring extraction and reflux extraction were investigated.The scavenging capacity on DPPH free radical activity in different H.diffusa extracts,and their comparisons with multiple antioxidants were researched.The results showed that reflux extraction with 80% alcohol was the optimal method,the scavenging capacity on DPPH free radical activity of five antioxidants and H.diffusaextracts with reflux extraction in three different solvents were as follows:P-coumaric acidacetone extract methanol extractvanillic acid80%alcohol extractrutincaffeic acidgallic acid.
