Isolation and Identification of Endophytic Fungi from Glehnia littoralis and the Antimicrobial Activities

To explore the antimicrobial activities of endophytic fungi fromG.littoralis,the endophytic fungi were isolated and identified from G.littoralis by plant tissue separation method and molecular identification method.The antimicrobial activities were studied taking Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans as indicator strains.Results:A total of 68 endophytic fungi were isolated fromG.littoralis.And 22strains(32.35%)of fungi with antimicrobial activity were attributed to five genera,seven families,eight orders and eleven species.These fungi were of different antimicrobial spectrum to S.aureus(17strains),E.coli(6strains)and C.albicans(3strains).This study laid the foundation to find new antimicrobial metabolites.
