MECHANICAL VENTILATION IN THE TREATREAT OF MASSIVE PULMONARY HEMORRHAGE OF THE NFONATE

Chen Kocheng
This paper reports the mechanical ventilation for 32 cases of massive pulmonary hemorrhage in high-risk neonate. It was demonstrated that the continusus positive-pressure ventilation (CPPV) was much better than continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in treating underlying illness and controlling hemorrhage into the lungs, the cure rate taking CPPV before bleeding was higher than after bleeding. We suggest that the CPPV would be taken immediately in hige-risk infant with type Ⅰ respiratory failure (PaO_2≤4.5 kPa) and in preventing and treating tne hemorrhage into the lungs, it is very important, especially complicates by hypothermia (rectal temperature≤ 30℃) and/or acidosis (pH≤7.15) before bleeding.
